Description

Provide young children with a range of opportunities for explorative play with this Set of Sand Spoons. Encourage children to investigate and observe movement, flow and quantity when using the spoons in sand and water play.

EYFS children are naturally drawn to the sensory exploration of scooping, pouring and transporting sand. As early years children begin to understand similarity and difference, shape and space and speed and flow, they will start to develop mathematical and scientific thinking through their sand and water play experiences. Personal, social and emotional development skills are also developed as children play collaboratively and learn to take turns exploring the resources.  

Combine the Set of Sand Spoons with Set of Buckets and Sieves, Set of Sand Tools and a high quality Sand Tray to begin the foundations of an excellent Dry Sand and Wet Sand area within the EYFS classroom.
