EYFS children are naturally drawn to the sensory exploration of scooping, pouring and transporting sand. As early years children begin to understand similarity and difference, shape and space, speed and flow, they will start to develop mathematical and scientific thinking through their sand and water play experiences. Personal, social and emotional development skills are also developed as children play collaboratively and learn to take turns exploring the resources.
The Set of Buckets and Sieves comprises 2 large buckets with spout for pouring dry sand or water, 2 smaller buckets, perfect for building sand castles and collecting natural materials and shells to enhance sand play, along with 2 sieves to fit perfectly on top of the buckets.
Combine the Set of Buckets and Sieves with the Set of Sand Tools and a high quality Sand Tray to begin the foundations of an excellent Dry Sand and Wet Sand area within the EYFS classroom.
