The half-scale skeleton is approximately 85cm in height and is placed on a stand to ensure the skeleton remains upright whilst children investigate. The classroom skeleton has joints that move with ease to support children exploring human movement and compare with their own movements. Extend learning by challenging children to match up the correct x-ray to the body part on the skeleton to support children’s investigative skills. Introduce Writing Boards for children to independently identify and write down the body parts found in the skeleton, encouraging writing across different areas of the classroom.
Combine the collection with a A3 Light Board or A2 Light Board for children to examine the fine detail found in each x-ray.
