Description
Add engaging and unique resources to your Science and Enquiry provision areas with this Human Teeth & X-rays Collection. The collection has been developed to encourage children to ask questions and gain a better understanding of the human body.
Use the teeth to demonstrate to children how to maintain good oral hygiene by brushing their teeth twice a day. The anatomical teeth can support children to develop an understanding of the different types of teeth, their function and why they need to be effectively cleaned. Using dough, demonstrate to children how plaque can build up on teeth and explain the effects this can have on teeth and tooth decay.
Children will enjoy investigating the 3D adult anatomical teeth, exploring the different types of teeth and how these appear on x-rays. The anatomical teeth are on a hinge mechanism for children to open and close the mouth, observing how jaw movements work and how the teeth come together to close. Combine with our Set of Small Mirrors to encourage children to investigate and observe their own teeth.
Combine the collection with a A3 Light Board or A2 Light Board for children to examine the fine detail found in each x-ray, roleplaying a real life hospital scenario
Invest in the Human Teeth & X-rays Collection to provide an excellent resource enhancement alongside the Science Area 4-5yrs and Enquiry Area 5-7yrs to build upon children’s inquisitive nature as they learn and find out about the world around them.
This Human Teeth & X-rays Collection includes:
- 3D model of pretend teeth, on a hinged opening mouth, approx. 10cm x 9cm x 7cm
