The Role Play: Tea Party Going Home Discovery Bag 2-3yrs consists of a tea set for 4; a tea pot with lid, 4 cups and saucers and a sugar pot along with a range of pretend play sweet treats to serve up an afternoon tea for the family to enjoy. The bag contains 2 books, including the Tiger who came to tea and a tiger soft toy to enable the family to reenact the popular children’s tale, supporting oral storytelling and early reading skills such as recall and retrieval.
Use the tea set at home to pour imaginary cups of tea and hand out biscuits, immersing children in role play scenarios while playing collaboratively with family members.
Extend learning opportunities and pour cups of water, encouraging children’s fine motor skills and dexterity as they handle the tea pot, and concentration skills as they learn to carefully pour the water into the cups.
