Designed by our experienced curriculum team, the outdoor compact shed contains the Exploring Nature Resource Collection 3-7yrs, Gardening & Growing Resource Collection 3-7yrs and Investigating Weather Resource Collection 3-7yrs, creating an enticing area for children to showcase their investigative skills, examine cause and effect, develop their physical skills and scientific thinking.
The weather investigation resources are excellent for children to develop knowledge about weather climates such as wind and rain, understanding cause and effect. The nature exploration collection contains rich resources for bug hunts such as bug jars and magnifying glasses for the keen explorers. The range of gardening tools such as rakes & spades, hand gardening tools and sweeping brushes will be favoured amongst budding gardeners who enjoy the sensory experiences gardening offers and will feel a sense of satisfaction when they clear areas of leaves and tidy up soil beds to plant seeds.
The set is completed with a useful children’s wheelbarrow for children to independently lift, load and transport soil or resources to their desired spot in the outdoor area.
Children will develop their gross motor and problem solving skills as they dig and transport soil using the wheelbarrow. They will also develop their fine motor skills though weeding and planting with smaller gardening tools.
The store will become an area that early years and KS1 children will benefit from scientifically, physically and cognitively, using the area all year round.

The Compact Store is assembled on site. The store requires a level and even ground or base for the installation team to bolt the store into the ground for additional security and stability.
