Invest in the Outdoor Water Area to create an exciting and well-resourced outdoor water area for EYFS and KS1 children to enjoy the problem solving and playing collaborative opportunities that outdoor large scale water play offers.
Designed by our experienced curriculum team, the outdoor shed contains a wide range of water play resources, creating an enticing area to develop critical thinking, problem solving and physical skills as they pour, store and transport water.
The outdoor classroom shed contains an excellent range of open-ended resources to develop children’s critical thinking as they work collaboratively to collect and transport water using a range of bowls, trugs, jerry cans and smaller containers such as pots and pouring jugs. Children will enjoy using the gutter stands to explore water movement, positioning the gutters at different heights to explore and compare speed and motion.
Encourage creativity by challenging children to create pieces of water art or practice mark making on the wall or playground floor using the buckets and range of painting brushes. This activity supports children to explore cause and effect along with exploring size and texture as they use the different tools.
Similarly to the indoor water area, early years children are naturally drawn to the sensory experiences that water play offers and will be a firm favourite in the outdoor classroom.

Resources are organised within an outdoor shed using accessible storage. The shed uses accessible outdoor storage to support children to develop independence and self-esteem. The stores are opened using the floor bolts and double doors, then lift the self-sprung lid with ease. Children will quickly learn how to open the store and will enjoy being able to independently select their outdoor water play resources.
Choosing to arrange enticing resources using accessible storage solutions supports an effortless “tidy up time” routine, teaching children the importance of maintaining organised provision areas to create more time to play and learn.
The shed stores are weather resistant and made of high-quality recyclable plastic. They provide a dry and protected space within the playground to efficiently store the outdoor water play resources and are assembled on site by our experienced team. The store must be bolted to a level and even ground which our delivery team will install in your desired area as part of the installation service.
