Carefully chosen for both sensory appeal and learning benefit, this set includes a wide range of smooth, translucent resources in a variety of colours and shapes. The smooth translucent pebbles and shapes provide a calming experience as children feel the tactile pebbles, grip individual shapes, or clutch a collection of coloured gem cubes for deep pressure input - supporting their self-regulation and emotional well-being. The translucent acrylic blocks offer children an opportunity for hands-on play as they stack, balance and build with the selection of shapes supporting children’s fine motor skills and hand-eye co-ordination.
Children who enjoy organising can use the shapes for pattern making and will be drawn to creating a range of patterns with the shapes. Children may choose to repeat patterns, order by size or explore creating their own designs, developing creative and imaginative play opportunities.
