Description
Promote early literacy skills through imaginative play and storytelling opportunities within the Wet Sand investigations area with the Set of Stone People.
The people come in three sizes, 5cm, 6cm and 7cm, to represent both children and adult figures, allowing children to re-enact familiar scenarios such as a family day out to the beach. The tactile people figures have a range of skin tones to represent a range of ethnicities and have a neutral expression to allow children to create their own narratives and explore feelings and emotions, supporting open-ended, imaginative play.
Combine the stone people with a set of vehicles, wooden pieces and a sand tray and watch as children create stories and become engrossed in language rich play.
The Stone people are also suitable to enhance the Dry Sand, Water Area and Small World Area across Nursery and Reception Classrooms.
