The collection encourages curiosity, discovery and independent exploration.
Resources are organised using accessible plastic trays, displayed on an extra-low shelving unit, with added water sealant, to create a complete solution for the classroom. The classroom furniture unit is designed at an appropriate height for very young learners, helping to create an inviting and engaging space for children to explore under appropriate adult supervision. Manufactured in the UK and delivered fully assembled, the classroom furniture is built to withstand the demands of busy early years environments and comes with a 10-year guarantee.
The open-ended water resources are sized and shaped for very young hands, with easy-grip handles and lightweight materials to support accuracy when tipping, pouring and filling. As children experiment with emptying, filling and transporting water from one place to another and observing how water moves, they begin to develop early cause-and-effect understanding and exercise the transporting schema and filling and emptying schema. The varied sizes of jugs and buckets encourage children to explore early mathematical concepts such as big, small, bigger and smaller through real, meaningful experiences.
The Complete Water Area 1-2yrs also supports early scientific exploration, introducing simple ideas of floating and sinking as children play with water and objects. Repeating these activities helps children learn from watching, doing and trying.
