Designed to support open-ended creative learning, the collection encourages children to explore natural materials, develop fine motor control and spatial awareness through hands-on experiences outdoors.
Children can use the Outdoor Transient Art Resource Collection 3-7yrs to explore shape, pattern and texture as they create symmetrical designs, nature-inspired mandalas or 3D structures using natural forms. The wooden rings can be used to frame their creations or used as a weaving ring for the string and fabric ribbons. The sticks, pebbles and natural materials can be arranged to form repeating patterns, or sort and sequence materials by size, shape, and colour.
Children can explore, create, and experiment with the Outdoor Weaving Resource Collection 3-7yrs using the sturdy weaving panel and willow obelisks, which provide a structured base, while the weaving mats provide a floor-based canvas for children to create colourful patterns or nature-inspired designs, offering a space to let their designs flourish.
